June 9--"Are you serious? My Google Account can do that?!"
In this two hour workshop we will be digging into the various apps that are available to you with your school provided school Google account. Google Apps for Education are free, offer easy collaboration and can be used on any device. Learn how you (and your students) can use Google Docs (like MS Office), Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Presentation (like MS Powerpoint), and Google Calendar.

JunE 17--funky formative assessment toolsWhat are you currently using for formative assessments in your classroom? If you'd like to change it up a bit next year in regards to formative assessments and want to explore some EASY to use digital formative assessment tools, come join us! We will be learning about (and how to use) tools like Kahoot, Quizizz, EduCanon, EdPuzzle, Socrative, Pear Deck and Geddit just to name a few. June 17--unleashing your students' creativity using canvaPablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up." Canva is a graphic web design tool that is user friendly and so easy to use! Need some creative graphics for your bulletin boards or website? What about having students create posters or infographics in your classroom? Then come and learn all about Canva. WARNING: Once you start creating with Canva, it's hard to stop!

July 1--Becoming a multimedia maven
this session is going to be rescheduled, stayed tuned to remind for details on when this session will be offered.
Remember the days when you had to send a student to the media center to check out a camera for your classroom? Now, every single one of our students has a camera AND access to a plethora of apps that allow them to create some pretty amazing things with the media that they produce. In this session we will learn how to manipulate photos and record and edit audio and video. Once done creating, we will explore the various ways to share the multimedia projects that you created.

July 15--Visual storytelling with Adobe apps
According to EdTechTeacher, "Digital stories allow students to take a linear series of events and turn them into a multidimensional experience. It encourages them to communicate, collaborate, and research as well as to infuse media into the process. A plethora of tools and apps exists to create these projects, and all of them enable students to gain a deeper understanding of history as they explore the most effective way to retell it." Students and teachers will have three apps from Adobe on their iPads starting next school year: Adobe Slate, Adobe Premiere Clip, and Adobe Voice. Come join me as we explore the possibilities of using these apps in your classroom next year!

Yes, Google has an app store just like Apple! Google apps allow you to do things like create documents, edit photos, collaborate and most importantly apps allow you to create in your classroom.
